A little rant before hand:
I had nothing to do today, so I read “the catcher in the rye” which I had pushed back because I was busy so I read it and it sucked me in… finished it in a seating.
I really liked how Holden just goes from place to place, person to person, cab to cab, thought to thought.
It kind of reminded me of movies like Taxi driver or those old Spaniard movies I’d see at midnight in a Hotel TV. Where there’s no plot and just some guy wandering through the city.
Anywho, can anyone recommend similar books ? It doesn’t have to be wandering in a city either, can be grassland-land.The protagonist doesn’t have to be like Holden either, it can be a nice priest too lol. Thank y’all guys !
