Hi, so I’m really struggling with negative thinking at the moment and need some escapism.
I usually read YA and middle grade so any books in these genres are appreciated. I love fantasy, horror/spooky, romance but no love triangles please.

The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, series
I just read and enjoyed “The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches” by Sangu Mandanna. It’s not my typical go-to genre of book but it was light and fun and definitely what I needed right now.
From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler by E.L. Konigsburg
I recently really enjoyed ‘The Witch’s Boy’ by Kelly Barnhill and ‘A Wizard of Earthsea’ by Ursula K LeGuin.
Elizabeth Chandler, *Summer in the City* is lovely romcom YA escapism.
Diana Wynne Jones’s *Howl’s Moving Castle* is also great escapism.
The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill
Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger
The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
City of Ghosts by Victoria E. Schwab
Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
A Curse so Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune
I haven’t finished it yet- but it’s so good.

I don’t know if there will be any love triangles – it doesn’t seem like it at this point.
