I'm looking for a fantasy book/series that gives you a cozy feeling, but still has some action to it.
Basically I want something like Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings. The stakes are high, yes, but for HP, half the books are just hanging around school, and for Lotr, even though there's all the war for middle earth thing going on, there's quite a bit of cozyness in all the friendship themes, the shire and forrest settings.
I came upon r/cozyfantasy this weekend when I was looking for suggestions, and so I tried Legends and Lattes, as it seems the most suggested book there, but I'm 20% in and nothing happens. There's no fantasy either, apart from the occasional mention that a character has a sword in a cupboard, or the main character has sharp teeth. If it was a story about someone moving from a big city to a small town to open a café, it would be the exact same story.
So I'm looking for something with some form of action, but still feels cozy, nothing like Asoiaf, or the Dark tower series.
Another series I found had that kind of feeling was Mistborne, although I didn't enjoy the romantic bits, so I only read the first book.
I imagine that something like the Narnia books and his dark materials would have a similar feeling, but I've seen the movies and tv show and I don't think I'd like it much. I've also thought about the Eragon series, but I've read mixed reviews, saying it's a bit childish (I'm in my 30s if it matters).
