I’m looking for books about Zombies and/or vampires that have a similar feel to the TV-series Midnight Mass. I really like vampires but also want to read zombie books. I would also like if the book, like Flanagans series, takes place on an island or in another place cut of from the rest of society.

There is a correct answer to this question: Salem’s Lot by Stephen King.
It’s not exactly like it but The Passage by Justin Cronin can be accurately described as “What if zombie apocalypse but vampires.” Based on what you’ve said it might be of interest to you.
It’s also an astounding series to boot.
