I’m looking for more books to get myself back into reading, and I’ve recently found myself obsessed with writers that are able to bring out the beauty in mundane or minute aspects of everyday life. The best example i’ve found so far is with some of Franz Kafka’s work; I have a collection of a bunch of short stories he wrote that do this sort of thing really well. I’ve also been reading the Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows, which is a little gimmicky for my taste, but it definitely fits into the same sort of theme.
I’m open to virtually any genre, including poetry, nonfiction, etc.
