Currently deep in the trenches of **The Revolutionary: Samuel Adams** when it hit me – how fascinating would it be to view things from the other side? Or perhaps, was there a British “Samuel Adams” counterpart, and if so, does a similar biography exist for them? TIA!!

Just look at general histories of the period, like the Oxford volume on The Reign of George III. From the British perspective, the American Revolution was a sideshow (albeit a big one) of the wars with France, not a development in its own right. It was all over by the time the French Revolution kicked off and that mattered far more.
