Can you suggest any books about correcting a terrible mistake that someone else has made? Also, I wouldn't mind more information about the mistake, hopefully in a way that doesn't spoil the ending. for example, for Chernobyl, Viktor's mistake was arrogance and user error, and upper management not listening to a pattern of a problematic employee and letting him go
I am thinking mistakes more on the level of Chernobyl, rather than mistakes on the level of the nazi grammar police , so things on a very big scale
Some books that I liked: the name of the wind, Dresden files, Anita Blake, the ninth house, the Martian, all systems red , The Magicians and so on
In the series The magicians, the book doesn't do quite as good a job as the TV series does of showing that really this whole thing has been set into motion long before our protagonist, and really they are cleaning up somebody else's mess.
