    I got into audiobooks through podcasting and enjoyed them a lot, so I want to get into reading for myself for the first time in my life. Maybe actually pay attention to those classics I just used spark notes to get through in high school. I listened to Frankenstein, The Stranger, and Pride and Predjudice, and enjoyed them all. No real genre or style preferences, just want fiction please

      A few of my favorites:

      -The Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger

      -On The Road by Jack Kerouac

      -Catch-22 by Joseph Heller

      -Three Cheers for War in General by John D Spooner

      Stretching the definition of classic, but it is (relatively) old: The Dragons of Eden by Carl Sagan.

    2. Not fiction, but I enjoyed listening to it: Freakonomics. It was very interesting.

      I also really enjoyed {{Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke}} and read by Brenden Fraser.

      I gather he isn’t popular anymore (and for probably good reasons), but I also really enjoyed {{Fortunately, The Milk by Neil Gaiman}}

      {{A Man Called Ove by Fredrick Backman}}. I listened to this book and bought the hard copy literally as soon as I finished the audio book. Really anything by him..

      {{Year Zero by Rob Reid}} was a good fun book too.
