What’s a very good book from uncommon themes?

Hi all, I’m looking for books from two different themes:

• Dark fantasy (gloomy, somewhat creepy, and maybe even dystopian). It can be about anything, whether it’s about strange encounters or trips in the middle of nowhere. That sort of thing.

• Technology: I’ve recently read Chip war by Chris Miller and found it very interesting. However, I haven’t come across any other book about chips, and strategic technology in general.
