There are a lot of books covering video games, do you prefer books that work as analysis or coverage of genres or books from a game series (Assassin’s Creed novels, Mass Effect novels)?

Andrew Rowe’s How to Defeat a Demon King in Ten Easy Steps. So this may not be exactly what you’re looking for… or could be what you’re looking for and didn’t know it. This is a pretty short novel heavily inspired by the Legend of Zelda series, although the book characters are not Zelda characters. But it’s like the main character is actually in a game and there are game mechanics. I read it 4-5 years ago so my memory is a little fuzzy. But I love Zelda, and I remember thinking the book was an easy and fun read. If you’re a Zelda fan, I’d encourage you to look into it. If you’re not though, then it may not be of much interest to you.
