Something consuming, maybe a series similar to Pillars of the Earth?

I am looking for audiobook recommendations. I listened to all of the Ken Follett Pillars of earth series.

I watched Outlander so I tried listening to this series but I literally could not take the way in which the narrator said “Jamie” in a way that sounded like a pouting teenager. But I loved this show and am now reading the books but just can’t listen w that particular narrator.

Please give me something I can dive into! I like romance and mystery and historical fiction. I don’t mind fantasy to a certain extent.
