Intro: I’ve been through multiple jobs over the years, and I’m tired of constantly switching roles. I want to retain a job, perform well, and show my employer that I care.

I searched on Google, Amazon and ChatGPT, but I’m not finding any relevant workbooks.

I’m hoping someone can recommend a book that can guide me in this process.

Here’s what I’m looking for in a job workbook:

    • Encourages you to know your department’s goals, research competitors, and understand the products your company offers.
    • Encourage networking, like: “Are there any company events you'd like to attend?” or “Are there groups you’d like to join?”
    • Gives good ideas like: “Sign up for news updates that impact your company, industry, or competitors,”
    • Reminders like: “When was your last 1:1 with your manager? How can you implement the feedback?”

    What I want to AVOID:

    • A workbook that’s mostly EMPTY PAGES, with just a few prompts.
    • Unknown books with few reviews or proven success. (Bestseller is better)
    • I’m not trying to switch careers or find my dream job. I already have 2 degrees (Finance & Data Analytics).
    • Creating my own template or using a blank notebook (I want to learn more from the workbook than what I already know)
    • Not looking for general career books, I want something action focused (workbook)

    Why this matters to me:

Having lost jobs in the past, I’m determined not to fall into the same pattern. I want something that will help me build a strong work ethic, so that I perform well.

There are so many planners and organizers sold out there, I'm surprised I can't find anything job related. There are so many people actively disengaged in their jobs.

A visually appealing and colorful workbook would be even better… a bonus.

I want to start my new job off on the right foot. If you have book or workbook suggestions, I’d really appreciate the help. Thanks in advance!
