Hey everyone!
I'm a new owner of my very first Kobo (Libra). I have a 1-month subscription to Kobo Plus, and I've already found a few books I wanted to read, including:
– The first nine volumes of "Attack On Titan" manga
– "Bongstu" (a romance novel, I think?)
I'm on the lookout for book recommendations, especially if they're available on Kobo Plus. I’m mainly interested in manga and graphic novels, which was one of the main reasons for getting a Kobo Libra. Typically, I prefer buying paper books for my favorite reads.
Genres I usually enjoy include fantasy/high fantasy, science fiction, romantasy (with romance as a subplot), and mystery.
Here are some manga/anime that I’ve liked:
– Elfen Lied
– Monster
– The Apothecary Diaries
– Shigoku Shoujo (Hellgirl)
– Anything with mecha
– xxxHolic and most of Clamp's work
I've read a lot of shonen manga in my younger days, and now I'm looking for something a bit more mature. Despite numerous recommendations, I'm not a fan of "Dandadan" :P.
My favorite reads from 2024 include:
Sword of Kaigen (fantasy/samurai family story), Poppy war (fantasy warfare), Skyward (space opera), Six of Crows (heist in a fantasy setting), When to Moon Hatched (romantasy with dragons!), Synthe (distopian YA)
