I’m a 30 year old guy who is looking to start reading more fiction, but am struggling to find books that captivate me. I have read lots of books like the Jack Reacher series, which are great for when I just want to turn my brain off, but I am looking for something more. Most articles or videos I watch for suggestions for men list a ton of fantasy or sci fi books, but I struggle (call it a bad imagination) to put myself into those worlds and truly get wrapped up into the stories. I like mysteries especially those that are more self-aware, for example I really enjoyed the Benjamin Stevenson series of “Everyone in my Family has Killed Someone”. I like sports, more modern history (oxymoron, but I mean like from WW1 on) and travel. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
