I recently finished reading The Bookshop Woman, and I absolutely loved it! I’m looking for similar books that explore themes of loneliness, self-discovery, and stepping out of isolation. Stories where the protagonist is stuck in life—whether socially disconnected, in a personal rut, or feeling lost—but eventually finds a way to re-engage with the world. I am not looking for romance driven stories. Just a deep, meaningful journey of a person finding purpose, forming connections (platonic or otherwise), and embracing life again.
Fiction or non-fiction, modern or classic—I'm open to any recommendations!
