Hi guys! I have a rather specific request…

My nephew is on the autism spectrum, he loves reading, but we have a hard time finding books for him. He's read almost all kids science book there is, but first of all there are almost none left and almost all of them for young/kid readers are picture books with varying amounts of text.

He is a good reader, he read various nonfiction books for adults, so if you can suggest non-fiction about topics like endangered animals, history (if possible specific eras/events) or politics/law, let me know.

He is not totally opposed to read fiction, but it needs to be as "real worldly" as possible. So talking animals are fine (good even), but if possible litte magic. And no death, he "accidentally" started "Seekers" and had a total breakdown when the little bear died. 🥺
He e.g. really enjoyed the books from the "adventures in time" series from Dominic Sandbrook.
Now the kicker, he only speaks a little english. He read books like "100 things to know about …" in English but not longer texts. Therefore it should be available in German.

I know it's very specific, but I spent quite some time looking and found not too many that fit and maybe you have something in mind.

    Thanks so much.
