As title says, might be a very simple & stupid question, but I bought a metal bookmark at q souvenir shop which is of a moose (flat piece of metal) with two book-length pieces of tassel/string attached. If I use the moose/metal as the bookmark, it thick enough that it pushes the book slightly apart (if that makes sense) & if I use the strings as the bookmark I’m worried that the weight of the metal will pull it out & I’ll lose my spot. It’d make sense for the moose to hang out right, since it’s “decorative”? Which is the right way? This is the kinda stuff that keeps me up at night
