I’m looking for a story that takes place on Earth in modern day, with people discovering aliens are not only real but likely going to destroy Earth. I’m itching for something with a bit more science and thought put into it than just an action story.

Maybe something with the tone of Arrival or Project Hail Mary, but a more deadly outcome
