My daughter is an advanced reader but I think she’s stuck in a Harry Potter rot (Ugh). I tried to read Little Women with her. I finished and she didn’t.
Last summer, we read Holes, the Phantom Tollbooth and Bud, Not Buddy together. She enjoyed all three with Holes being her favorite (me too).
Any recommendations for a 7th grade-level reader who’s a little too young for heavy subjects but have a budding interest in history? I’m trying to steer her away from typical YA/fantasy books since that’s what she’s reading already. Thank you!!
