hello! i’m looking for some suggestions for my friend for her upcoming birthday (and honestly probably myself lol). she reads mostly fantasy, romance, etc., but has been wanting to delve into more history, non-fiction and quote “adult” type of books (we’re both 23). does anyone have some recommendations for history books, specifically women’s history or queer history book that doesn’t read like a textbook? i want the text to be engaging and fun just like you’d get from a fantasy book. id also love any recommendations for non-fiction coming of age/coming into your own or about friendship. we’ve been friends for about four years now, lived together most of that time but won’t after this summer, i want maybe something that we can read together once we’re in different houses but maybe can touch on the nuances of love, friendship, your 20s and whatever else. thanks so much!!! i know it’s a big ask lol
