I was scrolling through Amazon late last night and randomly picked up Masaki’s Submission (Kiana Aspen). I figured I’d read a few chapters before bed—BIG mistake. I finished the entire thing in one sitting, and now I need more books like this because I am wrecked.
The setup? 90% of men are dead due to a mysterious disease, and the ones who are left are basically being hunted for repopulation. Masaki, a deadly, disciplined samurai, has somehow stayed a virgin, refusing every woman in his village. They won’t let him hold out forever, though, and he’s being forced to choose.
Then enters Su Yung, a former courtesan—experienced, confident, and completely comfortable in her power. The moment they meet, you can just feel his self-control slipping, and when he finally snaps?? I had to put my Kindle down and just breathe. The tension, the slow-burn, the absolute devastation when everything boils over—I was not prepared.
Now I need more books like this. Dark historical romance, extreme slow-burn with unbearable tension, a hero who loses control in the most devastating way—give me everything you’ve got. I need to fill this void ASAP.
FYI if you haven't read it, go do yourself a favor and pick it up — You're welcome in advance
