“Knife” was the memoir Rushdie wrote about this attack and its impact on his life and the lives of his family and loved ones. It’s a good and short read, not as excellent as his memoir Joseph Anton but still impactful.
If you’ve never read Rushdie, he has a great body of work to enjoy. My favourite is The Ground Beneath Her Feet.
