My son is 7, we've been reading Sarah Prineas' Magic Thief series. We're 4 novels deep now and he's engaged. However, some of it can be dark; the main character's mother was killed after her legs were broken by the local Underlord. The villain in one novel jumps to his death, leaving the main character to pity him. Overall, the violence is minimal and well managed. I don't shy away from talking about death with him, but there is a bunch of it in this. It's a cool series, but I'm wondering if there's anything a hair more age appropriate. Thanks all, I appreciate you.

Hii, I’ve got a few suggestions to give, but it entirely depends on what type of fantasy you guys read!
The Little Prince (short, sweet, and a classic)
Percy Jackson (!! Loved this series growing up)
The Village Library Demon-Hunting Society (I’m not 100% sure if this is for children, but it looks innocent enough)
The Inkheart Trilogy (This one’s cute, loved the movie)
Narnia (Very imaginative, reading this atm for fun)
Georgie Summers and the Scribes of Scatterplot (Idk anything about this, but it has a good summary)
I would suggest harry potter as well but ehem ehem, buy at your own risk hehe
