Book about a town that keeps getting hit by storms/tornados?

I have a specific book in my mind but can’t for the life of me remember what the title was. I saw it in a storea skimmed through the backside and while I didn’t buy it right there and then it did sound interesting so I said I’d buy it later.

I can’t really remember anything about it apart from what I said. I think, on the backside, people talking about the book compared it to SK’s The Mist.

It was something like ”Stehpen Kings The Mist meets (some other book)!”

I also think the cover was gray/beige ish if that helps. Sorry if this is the wrong sub for this!
