Poorly -written books that would still make a great movie or series

I've seen posts that ask about a great book that should be made into a movie (or series), and some that compare the two, but how about a book that was poorly-written, but would be great as a movie/series?

I'll go first, and don't "at me" lol if you like the book – but _Fourth Wing_ … so trite I couldn't finish it – but done properly, it could be a good TV series.
