I love this dynamic so much, just finished Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo (for context, two of the main characters are a king and one of his generals at war with another nation). Looking for more reccs with this sort of relationship, so anything really similar to like the King of Scars duology, Cruel Prince, etc.
