Hi, I'm looking for a book about men who are good fathers. I'm feeling very down right now and I'm afraid I really do have daddy issues. I just well I just want to read about some books with positive father-child relationship. I want to read about positive fatherhood, what it is like, how it should be. I want to feel that love if possible.

I'm open to any genre though please no non-fiction. Perhaps something with action, you're age old trope of a man fighting demons to save his daughter or whatever.

Please if possible, no adoptive/foster child situation.

Also please i would prefer very much if the mother is not comically evil. If she's dead, that's alright, if not than it'll be simply amazing if she's also part of the plot in positive way.

Again I'm open to any genre, and on side note, even a dysfunctional father would work as long as it's shown he loves his
    child.

    Thank you

Edit : perhaps I should add the noevla I've read already.

    -Pet Semetary (it traumatized me)

    -The Road (traumatized me more)

-Nightwatch series by Sir Terry Pratchett (so so funny)

-That one famous Fantasy book with the main female lead with two braids, big breasts and swirling skirt, Nveanne perhaps (?).

-Kings of Wyld (please something like this if there is)

-That scifi book with a disabled protagonist whose father is a Duke and mother was a captain and the parents had a separate book about them.

    -Dune

I can't think of more rn. Except that I read a lot.

      Mort by Terry Pratchett

Also, give Pride & Prejudice with Kiera Knightley a watch <3

      Good luck!

Edit for the e in Knightley

    2. While not a good father exactly, an interesting one certainly, Dalinar Kholin from Stormlight Archives.

Beartown by Fredrik Backman – Peter is one of my favorite fictional dads of all time; this series also has a ton of awesome adult male characters!

Carrie Soto is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid

    4. Little Women. Even though the father was mostly absent from much of the book, he is a very loving father to the girls. He was not a good provider for the family, and was valued for his emotional connection over his financial one.

Bookswise, the Forsyte Saga is a vast multigenerational family story that includes many father-child relationships, some good, some bad, all very human.

To sneak in a film rec, try 8th Grade – beautiful little movie about a 14 year old girl struggling with anxiety and other issues who has a great single dad.
