I just finished Witchcraft for Wayward Girls by Grady Hendrix and it is easily the best book I’ve read in five years. I feel gutted and empowered and content and enraged all at the same time. I need something to fill the void this book left. I’m a sucker for horror and books that highlight a specific place or part of our history (as in the homes for unwed mothers in Hendrix book)

    Books I’ve recently enjoyed:

The Quarry Girls by Jess Lourey
Into the Drowning Deep by Mira Grant
How to Sell a Haunted House by Grady Hendrix
The Four Ms Bradwells by Meg Waite Clayton

    1. Song of Kali by Dan Simmons.

A winter Haunting, by the same. There is one scene that haunts me still, one of the scariest concepts Ive ever read.

Rosemary’s Baby by Ira Levin. Set in the late 60s or early 70s, urban home thriller.
