Hello all, I find myself to be very very picky with reading. I only seem to connect with stories of truly devastating relationships , I don’t know if it’s the writing or the emotion or what. The few I have liked are 7 Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, CMBYN, Normal People, The Last true Poets of the Sea. I’ve tried Song of Achilles, didn’t love it. There’s not enough emotional connection to me. Also tried to read the CMBYN sequel Find Me, also couldn’t connect with it in the same way I did CMBYN. When I do find something I like I obsess over it and can’t seem to move on until I find something equally moving. Does anyone else struggle with this or understand? Any recommendations?
