Yeah was my first King and it hooked me. It’s a great psychological horror.

Misery is an excellent novel, but King may not be a great place to start unless you already know you’re into horror and are okay with reading about situations that may make you somewhat uncomfortable

If you like novels with
Few characters then yes . I don’t. Misery , Gerald’s Game, Cujo not for me.

I love it. But I think you need to start with something smaller. Starting with such a large book might put you off reading novels.

I just read it for the first time recently and really enjoyed it. King has an excellent approach to language and pacing in his writing. If you like it, definitely read The Shinning and Doctor Sleep IMO
