The request for book recommendations to understand American conservatives or conservatism has been asked a few times. This time, I want to ask for books that conservative Americans are reading as it relates to how they perceive the US and what they read to understand the US.
I'm not looking for recommendations like books from Ayn Rand, Hayek, and those source which are much older and probably most current American conservative isn't really reading. Who are the contemporary voices that they are reading and learning from?
To help hone in responses: think about how about on the left and progressive front, books by Corey Robin, Erica Chenoweth, Naomi Klein, David Graeber, Thomas Piketty, are among the ones that they would read.
I'm also not looking for conspiratorial books unless, I suppose, those are really what American conservatives are reading to recognize and understand the world they inhabit.
