Hi. Back when I was in high school, the HBO series was on it's first or second season, and everyone and their mother were watching Game of Thrones. It seemed like the plot and vibe was something I would love, but I don't like watching series. I like reading though, so I thought that if it was half as good as people were saying, I would love them. I found out that there were two more books until the series was finished, so I decided to wait for those two last books before starting, since I hate waiting and only read completed series if I can help it.
I've had a copy of the first book on my shelf for 11 years now, waiting, yearning for my touch. I don’t even read physical books anymore; just ebooks on my kindle.
Lately I've been playing Kingdom Come Deliverance: 2 and I'm so hard for medieval stuff right now, that I'm dying to read the series more than ever. Then something occurred to me: "Well, if Winds is never releasing, I might as well read the books now."
So. What do you guys say, not just to me, but for whoever else is in the same boat: Should we just bite the bullet and read the books right now, or wait until Martin bites the dust and somehow the series is finished one way or another?
