Looking for book recs to read during the feeds/contact naps. Need to be engaging, not heavy themes and not scary or crime related.
Ideally something light for a tired mum that wants to get out of doom scrolling.
Thanks
All Creatures Great and Small. It’s about a vet in 1940s Yorkshire and all the animals he treats and their owners. It’s a very heartwarming and comforting series.

Hello! New, tired, 3 months postpartum mum myself! Here’s what I’ve enjoyed since November (apart from a couple of parenting and non fiction books) 😊
– Blue sisters by Coco Mellors
– This motherless land by Nikki May
– Now you see us by Balli Kaur Jaiswal
– Intermezzo by Sally Rooney

Comediennes! I read Chelsea Handler, Tina Fey, etc 15 years ago while pumping. I don’t know how well they hold up but I’m sure there’s newer comedy that will be perfect for you.

I’m 8 weeks PP as well. Not a romance reader generally but I just read all of Emily Henry’s romance novels and it was a delight.
