Like the title says, I have been reading a lot of self help books because I have a very traumatized past. I've been wanting to understand myself more and find tools to help me out. I read books like The Body Keeps the Score, What Happened to You?, Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents, Permission to Come Home, Complex PTSD: From Surviving to Thriving.
In addition to those non-fiction books I was reading a lot of existentialist themed books from Herman Hesse(Siddharta, Steppenwolf, Narcissus & Goldmund and Demian), Stoner by John Williams, Notes from Underground by Dostoevsky and The Stranger by Albert Camus.
At the time it seemed like a good idea but I have literally burnt myself out and have not wanted to read and I haven't in about two weeks. I wanted to know what suggestions you have for books that are more light-hearted fiction books to break me out of this funk. Doesn't necessarily have to be uplifting but I think I just need a reset.

Bless. You need a palette cleanser. Read “The Hobbit” or some David Sedaris. Or Jeffrey Deaver. Jimmy Buffett’s Where Is Joe Merchant.
SMUT! I’m not kidding. Pick your theme and spice level from min to max.
