Books to read for a newbie?

Hello everyone, i want to get into reading as a way to improve my vocabulary, learn and keep me away from my phone. Do you recommend any books that you find good to read? I prefer Thrillers, Adventure, Philosophical, Sci-Fi, Historical Fiction or any science books that would expand my knowledge. If you have any recommendations outside of what i prefer you can also recommend them to me as i’m open-minded entering this journey.
