I recently started The Count of Monte Cristo, and immediately closed my ebook.
I felt that a physical version was needed much more, and it is not something to binge read and tick off my tbr.
I am looking for books with characters I can grow along through the year of 2025, with preferably coming of age themes.
I have considered War and Peace, Les Miserables, and Catcher in the Rye.
I am new to classical reading, and even reading in general but I feel the urge in me to have a fictional counterpart by my side would help me to carry through a "relatively" long book.
