Sorry if the format of this is wrong, im new to making posts!! I was looking for some new books to read and didn't know where to start.
I generally enjoy mystery and detective books, i dont mind historical fiction or narratives, but im really down to try anything! I really like strongly written/interesting characters, and would prefer a good plot. Im not super into romance, i dont mind if its present but i dont love if its the main point of the book.
Some books i enjoyed this past year were The Strange Curse of Pietro Houdini, Gideon the Ninth (for the mystery and the protagonists internal dialogue), and ive been really into the detective galileo series by keigo higashino! I read about half of the poppy war and i really enjoyed it, it just started getting a little dark for me, since im not really into war stories 😅😅 would appreciate any recommendations!!
