I live in rural Oklahoma and love reading horror. Unfortunately both my local library and the Libby system I have access to is lacking in that department. I browse other libraries (like Los Angeles) on libby to occasionally see what I'm missing out on.
I was wondering if there were any large library systems that allow non residents to get library cards to access more robust catalogs? Even if you need to pay because I'd rather give a library money than Amazon.

Try the New York City Public Library. I was there for two weeks and they gave me a free visitors membership that was good for six months.
Most libraries let you sign up for ~50$/year, just pick a random big city and check their website! I was using the Queen’s library for a while.
Some also don’t really verify address that strictly (but I feel bad spreading that knowledge, since it’s really not that expensive for a whole year)
The Queer Liberation Library on Libby has 124 titles tagged as horror. Probably not as expansive as you’d like, but it’s an option, and they’re constantly getting more titles.

Look up the libraries in the big cities in your state. I live in rural Pennsylvania but the Pittsburgh and Philadelphia libraries both give out cards to residents of Pennsylvania even if they aren’t from their respective cities.
