Hey everybody! I’ve been meaning to get into poetry because I would love to learn how to express myself better. I feel that, by reading some good poems, the poetic language will open my eyes to innovative ways to express a certain feeling or describe a situation, if that makes sense.
In recent history, the fiction books that I would read had a rather simple language, because I noticed this “trend” in contemporary books. For poetry, I don’t mind a simpler language or a richer one. I also have no set preferences when it comes to themes, although I am currently going through a heartbreak, so that would help a lot!
Finally, I would love some recommendations of both contemporary and classic poets! If it helps, I speak Romanian, English, German and Italian. Thank you!
