I've recently been enjoying several video games & visual novels known for their never-ending twists that keep re-inventing the status quo, and sci-fi concepts that push the limits of how I view the world. I want to know if I can capture that feeling in book form (I really need to spend less time looking at screens, lol).
For reference, I've played the DanganRonpa series, Zero Escape Trilogy, STEINS;GATE, and 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. As for books, I've read Dark Matter by Blake Crouch and really enjoyed it, and House of Leaves is on my list. I'd really appreciate any novels you can recommend that hit the same. Thanks!

Try Paul Auster’s New York Trilogy
If on a Winters Night a Traveller by Calvino is pretty twisty
Ubik — Philip K Dick
The epitome of mind-bending sci fi. I last read it 6 years ago and I still think about it regularly.
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
Movie is nothing like the book. Book is a good read!
