I've noticed a lot of my favourite books involve characters who live many different lives.
The Midnight Library is the classic example of this. I know it's not a favourite on this sub but I love it and have reread it multiple times.
Life after Life by Kate Atkinson is another example that I love. I especially love.
I think books with unusually long lived characters (How to Stop Time, Matt Haig and the Invisible Life of Addie LaRue are my favorites) often have this "many lives" feature too. Although they are living one continuous life, they are frequently moving from place to place, essentially living many lives in one.
I would love some more examples of these kinds of books. I'm not a fan of horror or anything with too much violence. I'm not really looking for something in the scifi or fantasy genre although obviously most books like this will have some fantasy/magical elements, which I'm fine with.

_And Then There Were N Minus One_ by Sarah Pinsker has one major sci-fi element in its setting: the protagonist is attending a convention for versions of herself from all over the multiverse. The sci-fi is a background element, though. The story is largely about her — and every other version of herself — grappling with the knowledge of what they are and what they could have been. As the title implies, it is a murder mystery.
