Trying to get into reading because I find it relaxing and I broke my arm so I can’t play games as much. Unfortunately I’m unbelievably indecisive and can’t decide what genre I’m most interested in. So please recommend me literally anything because I truly want to branch out. 🙂

Short history of nearly everything, Bill Bryson
Ready Player One, by Ernest Cline. The book is extremely different from the movie, so it definitely won’t feel like you’re reading a novelization of the script. Very many video games displayed and utilized as plot points, along with tons of other nerd pop culture references and scenes.
Dungeon Crawler Carl, by Matt Dinniman. Independence Day meets The Hunger Games/The Running Man. Currently the most popular in the “LitRPG” subgenre. The audiobooks, performed by Jeff Hays, are arguably even better than the books.
Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir! a sci-fi page-turner for real
Dark Gods by T.E.D. Klein is probably the best horror anthology ever.
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
