It's been a few months since I've done any reading and I'm getting the itch again but having a really hard time trying to figure out what to pick up, awesome thing this sub exists!
I just finished up playing Stories from Sol: The Gundog and it's really put me in the mood to stick with that kind of theme. I'm looking for something focusing around the operation and crew of a military spacecraft. I'm looking for something that has some sort of mystery at the centre of the plot as well. Maybe a bit sombre in tone, I'm a big fan of jaded and damaged noir style characters, not really feeling something super comedic. I'm not super picky about where it sits on like a scale of space opera to hard scifi either but I would definitely enjoy some exposition about the ships systems and such or about the political landscape of the universe.
I've read a decent bit of scifi but in a more military bent the only series or novels I've read like that that come to mind are maybe the Honorverse novels and handfuls of 40k pulp.
Thanks in advance for taking the time to read my post and send a suggestion my way!
