A novel with multiple pOVs or characters with different moral alignments, or who are working toward a goal in different ways?

It may seem a little weird, but I always liked the character archetypes stuff, and I was wondering if there are novels with a concept where you have good and bad characters scheming toward something, rather than the typical genius planner bad guy who the hero must overpower with brute force.
