I've read Mind Gym by Gary Mack, and it was pretty good. I'm working with a group competitive athletes, mostly teenagers but also some adults. I would like to find a very practical, science-backed book about sports psychology and developing mental fortitude.
I'm not looking for biographies or memoirs about athletes – those can be interesting and inspirational, but I'm looking for things that are more prescriptive with practical exercises and applications.
