I just read The Kite Runner and I must say that this book is heavy and it lingers to you emotionally. I didn't know anything about it before I read it so some of the scenes were really shocking to me. I read The Alchemist before this and for some reasons, I was suggested The Kite Runner. I don't regret reading it, it was eye opening actually but I just want something like the opposite of it, something that can make me laugh out loud even. I don't really like Romantic Comedies tho. Something modern would be fun.

Yeah The Kite Runner is such an important book but it devastates you, especially unprepared… some of my favorite warm and fuzzy books are The Princess Bride, the Wind in the Willows, and Fantastic Mr.Fox! The latter two are definitely more kid’s books but I think them cozy and fun enough for non-kids too! Definitely the opposites of the Kite Runner and are more uplifting books but still with meaningful themes.
