So my fiance and I have both picked up the same special interest in diving into greek mythology. It started with me introducing her to Hadestown and her introducing me to Epic the Musical. So we decided to read Circe and The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller and absolutely loved both of them. I thought I'd look for some other titles that are similar those and I would love your opinions on some of the ones I've been considering or if you have any that I don't mention.

Stephen Fry has a series of 4 books focusing on Greek myths: Mythos, Herod, Troy, and Odyssey that are terrific. I recommend the audio books because he reads them and his incredible delivery only enhances them.
Id recommend all the Mary Renault books.

Stone Blind is really good, a bit humourous in tone which is really refreshing!
Also not myth retelling but Glorious Exploits by Ferdia Lennon is super unique take on this time period which incorporates Euripides plays and is written in a contemporary Dublin dialect. Again super unique, funny, but also moving.
Homer’s Daughter by Robert Graves.
Scarlett St Clair’s books are great as long as you can handle explicit content.

Margaret Atwood’s ‘The Penelopiad’ is the Iliad as told from Penelope’s POV.
Natalie Haynes fiction and non-fiction fiction books. Plus she has a radio series – but I don’t know if you can listen from outside the UK.
