I’m looking to find a version of the Iliad and/or the Odyssey in modern English. I’m not looking for a direct English translation of the original poem, and I’m not looking for something where the author takes their own liberties and puts some of their own ideas into the story. I’m looking for a modern English version written in normal sentences and paragraphs with the story as close as possible to the original poem. Thanks!
