I have always been considered a nerd. With a very high GPA, I still don’t know and see how the world work, i.e. my EQ is low i suppose. I don’t know how to treat people in a correct way in the sense that I have friends and I’m nice to everyone and everyone is nice to me but I don’t know what to share and not what to share, how to make benefit of people’s strength and weakness (not in a manipulative way), how to deal with different people differently, etc. So all I know is do the basic bare minimum: being nice.

Meanwhile, other people can categorize someone personality just by looking that person’s face, hearing their voice, observing their walking posture,… I am amazed by that kind of knowledge. I have known someone that never does any actual work and acting a bit conservative but they are so good at talking that their life seems effortless. I assume with that kind of experience, one must have a strong mentality, can recognize matters in a macroscopic way, understand politics and manners,…

So my question is which books I should read to learn about these things too even though I know that practicing is the best way to achieve that kind of high-level performance. Some suggest that I should read books about history, economics, politics such as “The Art of War” or “The Prince”.

    Thank you for your recommendation!
