I very recently read the books in the list below and absolutely loved all of them. The top 3 in particular are now all time favourites. I wondered if anyone might see the list below and think “If you loved X then you must read X!” Thank you in advance for any suggestions!
The Count of Monte Cristo (Alexandre Dumas)
A Boy & His Dog at the End of the World (C.A Fletcher)
Enders Game (Orson Scott Card)
To Kill a Mockingbird (Harper Lee)

The Dog Stars by Peter Heller
The Last Policeman Trilogy by Ben Winters
The Years of Rice and Salt by Kim Stanley Robinson
Since you enjoyed Ender’s Game, also read Card’s next two in the series: Speaker for the Dead and Xenocide.
The rest of the Ender’s Game series is excellent, as is the Shadow series, starting with Ender’s Shadow by Orson Scott Card.
I’d also suggest the Bobiverse series, starting with We Are Legion (We Are Bob) by Dennis E. Taylor.
If you enjoyed The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, I think you’d enjoy West Heart Kill by Dann McDorman. ☺️
